I heard about it from George's blog, a week or so after it started. I checked his blog once in a while after finding it while looking to see if anyone ever made a kit to turn a Beretta into the Equilibrium Cleric gun. Mostly for gun stuff, because while it can be interesting once in a while to see politics from the perspective of "the other side", I don't make a habit of it. Good gun reviews, though.

Orgre and Correia were talking quietly in a corner of a room I just happened to be in...........

Next thing I know-  "Log on, you're on board."

    So here I am.
This may be considered as the true palladium of liberty. . . . The right of self defence is the first law of nature: in most governments it has been the study of rulers to confine this right within the narrowest limits possible. Wherever standing armies are kept up, and the right of the people to keep and bear arms is, under any colour or pretext whatsoever, prohibited, liberty, if not already annihilated, is on the brink of destruction- St. George Tucker, Blackstone's Commentaries

I heard about We The Armed about every time I talked to FMJ, after a lot of convincing, I checked it out. Low and behold here I am now. It's not that I was against the Idea, it was just that he became very obsessive. I didn't want that to happen to me.  :foot

Like so many others in here, I learned of WTA through George's "Mad Ogre" website. I heard of "Mad Ogre" through YouTube when I found George's video clips of he & his buddies hunting Prairie Dogs. Miss those videos, but not surprised that someone complained...it was only a matter of time. :P

I found this site via the We are the Armed group in facebook.  As a newbie from Southeast PA.  I am 68 and recently purchased my first handgun.  A .40 cal Bersa and am learning to fire it.  I have long guns and I belong to a 912 Patriot group.  We have 28 groups so far in SE PA area and are silent no longer.  Our voice is being heard and want to belong to other groups such as yours.  I am a Vietnam Vet.  My son who is in the PA NG was awarded a Bornze Star for valor.  He did come home in one piece.  I also lost a Grandnephew who was only 18 on the streets of Baghdad- Steven Walberg-Riotto.  I also lost a first cousin in the South Tower of the WTC - Michael Ferugio.  I am a Conservative first and a Republican second.  I want all enemies of this country eliminated with prejudice.

I was going over my Google analytics trying to assess how well my advertising and viral campaigns are going, and saw this web site listed as a referring site, so I took a look in and had a poke around, and decided to stay after seeing a few folks here that I know.

1999 - I read a post on echooutpost.com (IIRC) that was written by George Hill.
    2000 - I read a post on MadOgre.com concerning a particular weapon.
2008 - Found out at WTA from MadOgre.com.
Been here ever since; telling anyone who's interested about the site.

Surprisingly, I've stayed up and posted frequently on this site--usually, I post a few, then drop out.  Something here keeps me coming back.
