Uhhmm.....I am saying "if" a member like me came, where it's 26+ hours of solid driving anyway.

I probably can't, but I wanted to make a trip like that anyway someday  :cool

I was told that 2-3 hours was not that close to a PA member. For me, it would be rounds bout 2 hr drive. That is close in my book. Just like next door. I have driven farther to shake a good man's hand who was just passing through. Heck, later this year I will be flying to Texas to meet up with folks from another forum for the second time. People coming in from Cali, Alaska, South Carolina, Washington, Utah, Tenn, Arkansas, Virginia, Georgia, Florida, New Mexico and me from Ohio. Epic four day weekend for the win.  :neener

As a Certified KCBS BBQ Judge, I drive farther than a couple of hours just to eat free BBQ.

I guess it is all in how much you want to put into it or not. I will happily drive a couple of hours to meet and shoot with some awesome members here. Call me crazy, just don't call me late for dinner.  ;)

Fair enough. I just didn't want people to be like "oh, let's go to the CMP store and then catch lunch" and get a rude shock. It's a bit of a hike from either Z-ville, Lancaster or C-Bus. But it is there, and if you're coming from the northwest, it's practically on the way. ;)

I just got a message asking about this, so I guess I have to update: No, this is not still being planned.  There was a bit of difficulty in getting a range secured, and I think after that it must have just slipped from most of our minds.  I know it did from mine.  :-\

If anyone else wants to take point in organizing something, that would be awesome.  At this point, I would suggest September, at the soonest, just so people can plan their lives around it.

Sorry that this did not work out.

Michael Z. Williamson has a ShootzenBoomenViggin every year in September at Bass and Bucks. Everyone is invited to attend, its Dutch so bring your money for the range. It's held in Wabash, Indiana and is a great time. Yes, Tanerite is used, yes full auto is used, range has up to 750 yard target areas.

Indiana'The average response time of a 911 call is over 23 minutes, the average response time of a .44 magnum is 1400 feet per second.'
