Well guys another update, metal clips came in well twice but I'll explain that in a minute;) Here is a picture of them installed on a rig:

So they are basically the same design as my kydex clips but out of good strong spring steel. Plenty thick to handle belts up to 1/3in. thick without any issues, and super freaking secure. Those of you running my kydex clips know how much pride I take in knowing they really do hold the holster on the belt well. These new ones are even better. They also work even better reversed like a few of you do for OWB carry since they are allot stronger than the kydex ones and should take the abuse just fine. Also the overall profile is thinner since the material is just so much thinner than the thick kydex I've been using.
So overall they are great, and I've already setup the site to default to them because they are an improvement in all area's but one. They are harder on belts, the material isn't nearly as soft as kydex so it does wear belts more, not a whole lot I can do about that. I clean up some sharp edges to help keep it to a minimum but they are metal and there isn't much I can do about that.
What I mentioned about twice is you'll notice it's been more than the couple weeks it should have been. Well I got my first shipment several weeks ago, but they were wrong. New guy was running the equipment or just didn't read my drawing properly before building them. Either way they were too short to fit over even a 1.25in. belt let along a 1.5in. belt. So I called them expecting a headache since here I've got a box of 1000 clips that won't work for anything. They understood it was their issue, said they would rebuild to my specs and drawing properly. Then they said just scrap the other clips not worth shipping them back since they are heavy. So good on them for doing the right thing, they now have my business from here out. The bad thing for them is the guy running the shop liked my design so much he made another 1000 up just for sale because he figured they would go quickly, and they were made before they realized they screwed up the design:) So they ended up eating 2000 clips made to an unworkable spec.
Either way the company stood behind it's word and did right by me and I appreciate that. And they made one heck of a nice clip in the ones I got from them so I'm happy and I'm sure you guys will be as well;)
Also today our house was delivered, I spent most of the day out there making sure everything was done right, and tomorrow we've got to cap the roof before the snow comes, and I've got to install a new chimney for my wood stove then I can get back to holsters for the rest of the weekend;)
Take care!
Luke
