So we've been still working to get down our lead times I think shortly here I should be able to drop it down from 18 weeks but I'm holding off just a little to make sure it's going to work out. Mostly we've been putting out a few more orders lately than our normal speed and orders have slowed a little(which isn't bad since it will mean the lead time will come down a little because of it too). So that's good news to those of you who don't want to wait quite so long;)

On the personal front we've been getting our firewood up for the shop and the soon to be house and I'll get into that more shortly. But we've got around 50% of our wood split and stacked, and I've already finished with my dad's wood and one more load for my cutting buddy who helps me do all the cutting and splitting. So we're nearly done with that. Sarah and I decided to get a modular house this year to put on our land across from the shop. So we've been dealing with the bank and trying really hard to get all of our ducks in a row to get it in place before winter. However at every turn I'm dealing with some of the most incompetent people I've ever encountered, from the bank on. Only my excavator guy who's also doing the septic seems to really be doing a great job for us so far. Either way I hoped to have the house in place by now but right now I've got a clearing, and that's about it. Hoping the bank will come through this week with money so I can write a check to get the cement pad put down before the weather get's any worse and also get the septic in place. The well isn't as big of an issue since they are drilling so that can happen as needed but soon as well. So it's been busy on that front too;)

Yesterday I made the step to get a company to build my clips out of spring steel which should be a huge perk for all those of you with Texas holsters. These should replace my kydex clips which most of you know will fail over time, it's just the nature of the material. So these spring steel clips should be more durable and overall a better setup going forward. But it's a heck of a risk since I have to buy 1,000 of them and it's a pretty good chunk of change to gamble. That said I think the end result will be great so we'll see in 3 weeks when I take delivery of the clips but I'm crossing my fingers that they work out for us;)

Eli is doing great, he's just about 20lbs. now and just turned 5 months 3 days ago, so he's doing great as is Sarah. I'm doing well just running around like a fool here trying to get holsters done and getting interrupted by going out to the job site for inspections and helping cut stumps off for the excavator with the chainsaw(which for those who mentioned it last year, I now am running chaps and a helmet when cutting). I'm hoping this winter to get a little more time online to get some more pictures out on forums etc, and also get the lead times down a bit.

Sounds great.   I may have to get some of the steel clips but I do love the other set of loops you made. 

Not much anymore but one of these days I'm going to get some rest;) Installed the chimney and wood stove in our new house yesterday so we've got heat at least. No power or water but I've got heat;)

Merry Christmas to you too. Sarah thought I was nuts trying to get the house in before Christmas since we only poured cement 2 weeks ago but I was determined. Today I'll string some extension cords and some power line and go get my Christmas tree. It's been 5 years since we gave had our own normal house and tree and I've gotta admit I'm ready
