Because, yeah, the children of the leaders of the Free(ish?) World aren't under greater than average threat from kidnappers...  :coffee

they are no more precious than anyone else's children.
Let the secret service have 7 rounds of 38 special LRNs to protect Dear Leader's spawn.  They don't NEED any more.

That's more naive than the rationale to ban guns.

No, they are under more threat, which is why this proposal is unthinkable.

But,

they are no more precious than anyone else's children.
They are not, so there should not be a double standard.

Let the secret service have 7 rounds of 38 special LRNs to protect Dear Leader's spawn.  They don't NEED any more.
Ridiculous!  ...And so it should be for imposing such rules on civilians...

The proper way to get people to use their rights in a way that conforms to one’s own way of acting is through persuasion, not the force of law.

Booksmart, I'm pretty sure this is all said in sarcasm...  Don't you think?  :scrutiny

The SS agents need to have weapons like SIG P229s, FN P90s, M4s, etc...  We need them, too.

The president's position entitles him to enjoy his protection at taxpayer expense; it does not give him a "right to protection" that we do not share with him. If he would deny our right to protection at any level, he should forfeit his equally.

If he could grasp that, maybe then the communist-in-chief in the whitehouse (and his  liberal pals who think his needs are more important than ours) would understand why telling other people what they need, and *letting* them have only that, is tyranny.
